Voluntary targets set across the entire value chain
The European aluminium industry has committed to address sustainability challenges together. European Aluminium’s Sustainability Roadmap towards 2025 sets voluntary targets in the areas of responsible production, innovative applications and socioeconomic contributions, complementing existing legislative requirements.
European aluminium companies work together to achieve those targets, through exchange of best practice, sharing of experience and developing joint projects.
Their progress is tracked regularly by a broad set of Sustainable Development Indicators (SDIs), which since 2002 testify to the aluminium industry’s continuous self-improvement.
